Keep the messages you were meant to see.

InboxTrail saves the notifications that reach your Android phone, so a message is still readable after the sender deletes it, after you swipe it away, and without opening the app it came from.

Four things InboxTrail does

Deleted messages stay readable

Each message is saved when its notification arrives. If the sender deletes it, the original moves to the Deleted tab with the time it stayed up.

One tidy history

The Inbox groups everything by day, with one stack per app, so a busy phone stays short. Search and filters find old items fast.

Read without being seen

Chats open inside InboxTrail. Links open in your browser, and one-code messages have a Copy code button. The sender's app is never opened.

Private on your phone

Messages, media and settings stay on your device. There is no account and no server. Backups are optional encrypted files that you export and keep.

How it works

You give InboxTrail Android's notification access once. Android then hands the app each notification as it appears: app, sender, text and attached photo. The app saves it in a database on the phone and sends nothing anywhere. When a chat app replaces a deleted message with a notice, InboxTrail finds the earlier message from the same chat and keeps the original text.

InboxTrail only keeps what Android already showed in a notification. It does not read inside other apps or break their encryption, and it cannot recover a message that was deleted before its notification arrived or while notification access was off.
